TANGEDCO says it has created local area teams that will keep a close watch on the power supply and drawl rates in different zones in the city.
This step has been taken as summer peaks and the power drawl by consumers is peaking with people in homes and offices using air-conditioners and coolers.
The team in Mylapore is on the watch too – Mylapore zone has a 230kilo-volt ( Kv) station that feeds most areas of this neighborhood.
In recent times, TANGEDCO has also laid new lines that links stations in the south side of the city so as to stabilize power supply and prevent power drops or cuts.
However, the past fortnight residents have reported power drops in some areas.
