Tvarita is an initiative by two young creative minds of this neighbourhood – Sridevi Murali and Deepthi Ravichandran, both classical dancers who also pursue other cultural passions.
The duo say that their venture ‘Tvarita’ is intended ‘to be a forum to infuse into life, traditional and cultural activities that are not usually part of the conventional routine in contemporary times.’
The list of activities will range from mainstream sessions such as learning yoga and bharatanatyam to fun sessions like learning ‘pallanguzhi’, ‘dhayakattai’ or even sessions to learn wearing a ‘madisar’ or ‘panchakachcham’.
The duo’s first series of events is scheduled for May 2016 and will host 5 courses ; basics of classical dance handled by Sridevi, theatre handled by Deepthi, yoga, jewellery making and crafts handled by Dhivya Narasimhan, a professional yoga instructor & fashion jewellery designer.
This week long workshop (May 2 to 8) will be conducted at the Kartik Fine Arts Hall (A/C) on Sringeri Mutt Road, Mandaveli from 9:30a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
