On Feb 24, the residents of Raja Street East, Mandaveli were surprised when they woke up in the morning to see workers from a professional organisation cleaning their street.The event was organised by the members of the Mandaveli Raja Street residents Welfare Association to welcome the members of the East wing of Raja Street who had recently joined their association. The association took the help of Lenin, a resident of Raja Street, who runs Inzta Help, a professional deep house cleaning service.
The entire stretch of Raja Street East starting from the end of Raja Gramani Thottam near Adyar Poonga to the other end of main Raja Street was cleaned. Men and women, with masks on their face and brooms in their hands got together to remove plastic bags, leaves and other waste off the road.
