Devotees thronged to Sri Adi Kesava Perumal Temple on Sunday, March 27 to witness the diety Sri Adi Kesava Perumal and his consorts Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi being taken on the Garuda vahanam. These festivities were held as part of the Brahmotsavam celebrations taking place at the temple and will continue till April 3.
Upcoming events include Hanumantha vahanam on March 29 at 7.30 p.m., Thiruther on March 31 at 6 a.m., Thoti Thirumanjanam on April 1 at 3.30 p.m., Theerthavari on April 2 at 9.30 a.m. followed by Kannadi pallaku and veedi purappadu at 7.30 p.m. The event will end on April 3 with a procession of Alvars around the temple as well as around the Mada streets surrounding Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple.
