Pop-up show – clothes, food and more
Funky Fish brings a pop up shopping fest ‘Behind Closes Doors’ this weekend to Chennai. The fest will feature clothes from 22 designers including Turquoise & Gold, Farah Sanjana, Urvashi Joneja and more. Cocktails will be on hand from Crowne Plaza along with a spa zone, fine jewellery by Farah Khan, beauty zone by Clarins and a chef with a live demo station. Classic handlooms for everyday use
C. P. Art Center is hosting an exhibition of saris, yardage, dupattas and more directly from weavers of Andhra Pradesh. DAMA (Dastkar Andhra Marketing Association), a wing of Dastkar Andhra, has organized this exhibition to promote weavers from rural Telangana and Andhra. These fabrics are made in environmental friendly methods and are available in a variety of colours and textures. The exhibition is on till Feb 28 at 1, Eldams Road, Alwarpet.
