Nageswara Rao Park did not got to sleep fully on Sarturday night. And it will be a long Sunday at the park for many people. For, people have been working for two events – celebration of 10 years of the Kutcheri in the Park series, the monthly mike-less concerts helod at Chess Square and supported by Sundaram Finance and the first Art Mart event hosted by Mylapore Times.
While the concert starts at 7 am and ends at 8 am, Art Mart, featuring over 75 artists will open at 8 am and end at 8 pm and will offer over 2000 works of art to the public in the eastern sector of this park in Luz.
While most artists are from the city, some are traveling here from outside and six young school kids are also showcasing their paintings.
Walkers in the park on Sunday morning will be in for a great visual treat and the Art Mart volunteers are hoping many Mylaporeans will come back to enjoy the paintings and buy some.
