RAPRA (R. A. Puram Residents Association) in association with the horticulture department, Govt. of TN, had arranged a sale of ‘Do it yourself kits’ at the Corporation Park at 7th Main Road, R. A. Puram on Jan 30. More than 60 residents of R. A. Puram and the neighbouring areas made use of this opportunity.
Items sold included seeds, coco peat blocks, urea, biological fungicide, bioderma, biomonas, nitrogen fixing bacteria, phosphate stabilising bacteria and six polythene grow bags. Officials from the horticulture department also answered many questions, by residents, on how to use the cocopeat for potting and how to prepare the bed for sowing vegetables.
