Justice M. Jaichandren, Madras High Court and Jatindra Nath Swain, principal secretary to Govt., Public and Rehabilitation Department, flagged off ISKCON’s annual Jagannath Rath Yatra from Sri Kapaleeshwarar Temple, Mylapore on Jan 14.
The yatra started from the temple at 4 p.m. and reached Kuchalambal Kalyana Mandapam at Chetpet through R.K Mutt Road, R. H. Road, R. K. Salai, Cathedral Road, N.H. Road and Village Road. During the procession, ISKCON distributed more than 10,000 plates of prasadam to the general public. Children from several schools in the city also participated in this event.
