Here is how two groups in the Mylapore area celebrated pongal this week…
The students of School of Excellence in Law (SOEL) at R. A. Puram celebrated Ethnic Day and pongal with great pomp and show. Pongal was prepared and distributed along with sugarcane to all the students. Students also participated in games like tug-of-war, rangoli and balancing art.
At Bamboola Play School, R. A. Puram, the children came dressed in traditional attire, sang songs and danced. They also watched the pongal pot boil over and enjoyed sumptuous pongal made at the school campus.
