The members and staff of Kalyana Nagar Association at Mandavelipakkam have been organising relief efforts for the flood victims. On Dec 4 and 5, more than 2000 food packets were distributed to the residents of Kotturpuram, Andima Thottam at St. Mary’s Road, Velleswarar Garden at Srinivasa Avenue, R. A. Puram and Greenways Road (near Baba Temple).
V. Thyagarajan, joint secretary of the association says, “Our relief efforts will continue. We are still collecting items like blankets, candles, water and medicines in addition to ready-to-eat food and provisions.
