The Jain community in Mylapore provided provisions and other articles to about 1500 people affected by the flood at Bazaar Road, Mylapore today.
A survey was conducted by the members and the tokens were distributed in advance to the residents of Mylapore, Mandaveli and R. A. Puram. The ration kit consisted of rice, dhal, sugar, rava, oil, and a bedsheet.
