As a part of Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s 90th birthday, the Mandaveli Samithi conducted several competitions for children during the month of October.
More than 200 children participated in chess, pencil sketching, bhajan and several other events. At the bhajan competition, six autistic students of Sowmanasya Trust – Krishna, Sudheepa, Chinmay, Jaitheerth, Kannan and Jai Ganesh were honoured by the Samithi for their performance.
Sowmanasya Trust, the brainchild of music therapist Lakshmi Mohan, was started at R. A. Puram in Jan 2015. Lakshmi uses music and songs to help people with autism. If you would like to donate to her cause contact her at 9962129333.
