Metrowater’s zone offices are accepting applications for regularization of illegal privately installed sewer lines. This is an effort to ensure that people who have laid such lines can now connect the lines to the proper channels instead of missing public lines or messing up the local area.
In the Mylapore area, Metrowater’s office at the west end of Dr Ranga Road ( at the C P Ramaswamy Road junction) will accept applications today, Saturday.
Metrowater says it will come down heavily on those who have illegal waste disposal lines.
