C. P. Art Centre has organised an exhibition of paintings on ‘The Light Supreme – The Temple of Tiruvannamalai’ by A. Ananda Kumar. There will also be a display of antique lamps from the Shakunthala Jagannathan Museum of Kanchi. The exhibition runs till Nov 25 at shakunthala art gallery (formerly Vennirul art gallery) at 1, Eldams Road, Alwarpet.
Ananda Kumar is from Koralpakkam village, about 27 Kms from Tiruvannamalai. He has a BFA in painting from the Govt. College of Fine Arts, Chennai and a MFA from the Govt. College of Fine Arts in Kumbakonam. He is the recipient of the Camel Art Foundation award 2012.
