Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore will be conducting a cultural fest from Nov 20 – Jan 13. The festival will be inaugurated by the chief guest – N. Murali, vice-chairman, Kasturi & Sons on Nov 20 at 6 p.m. The guests of honour are S. Jagadeesan, former judge, Madras High Court and Prof. Jayanthasri Balakrishnan, Dept. of English, PSG College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore. A carnatic music concert by Abishek Raguram and group will follow the inaugural function.
The chief guest will present the P. Obul Reddy & P. Gnanambal Memorial Life-time Achievement Awards to A. Kanyakumari (violin) and guru Neyveli R. Santhanagopalan.
The first edition of the music festival will be held from Nov 20 – Dec 11, the second edition from Dec 27 – Jan 13 and the drama and discourse programmes will be held from Jan 10 – 14. Open to all. At East Mada Street, Mylapore.
