Tribute : R. M. Rao

R. Mallari Rao, passed away on Sunday, Sep 27 at his residence at No. 30, East Mada Street, Mylapore after a brief illness. He was 80 years old.

Mallari Rao was the son of late E. Rajaram Rao, retired member of the Central Board of Revenue. He did his schooling mainly in Calcutta and college in New Delhi. He was an accounts professional and worked in Mumbai and Chennai.

His family says that he was a music and bharathanatyam lover. He was good at tennis, table-tennis, badminton and bridge. He was an erudite personality and fond of English literature. He was well known among photo enthusiasts and Lion Club members.

Mallari was born in Mylapore and returned to permanently stay in Mylapore area from 1966.

He leaves behind his wife Sushila Rao. Contact the family at  24933122.
