A Navarathri utsav will be held at Ramakrishna Mission Students home from Oct 13 – 22. The event will be inaugurated by Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaja, Adhyaksha, Sri Ramakrishna Math on Oct 13 at 7.30 a.m. An upanyasam by U. Ve. Srinidhi Swami on Ramayana will follow the inaugural function.
Music programmes have been arranged in the evening on all days. This will be inaugurated by Dr. Nalli Kuppuswamy Chetti on Oct 13 at 6.30 p.m. Dr. A. Natarajan, former director, Doordarshan Kendra is the chief guest at this event.
Highlights include performances by Nithyashree Mahadevan, Revathy Krishna (veena), O. S. Arun and several others. On Oct 21, Saraswathi puja will be celebrated with an abhishekam to Sri Saraswathi Devi followed by Lalitha Sahasranamam paryyanam. A display of dolls for kolu has been arranged by the boys of the Home and will be on display for all the nine days of Navarathri. For details contact 24990264.
