Local civic officials may want to go around their patches and inspect if the recent systems they effected to avoid flooding and tapping the rainwater are working the way they should.
After this Saturday morning’s spell of rain, many small streets in old colonies began to flood though not greatly – here there is hardly any drain system.
However, in areas like Luz Avenue ( as shown in this photo) water began to rise despite officials saying that they had worked on draining the water.
Much of the water here can be tapped into the large park area. Water levels do subside after the spell of rain.
