As a part of its 70th anniversary celebrations, State Bank of Travancore has organised a clean-up programme at Marina Beach (near Gandhi statue) on Oct 11 at 6 a.m. Jeevandass Narayan, managing director, E. K. Hari Kumar, chief general manager, Babu Jayaram, general manager retail network and other officials and staff members will participate in the event. The Mayor of Chennai Corporation – Saidai.S. Duraisamy will preside.

It will be nice if few companies can get-to-gather and sponsor for good solid trash bins at the beach every few yards.
Also signs for public to use the trash bins, else they will have to pay heavy fine for discarding trash on the sand.
