Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Mylapore had organised the CBSE Cluster V Football tournament from Oct 8 to Oct 10. 1340 students from 67 schools in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry participated in this tournament. The event was inaugurated by Manoharan, headmaster and correspondent, MCC School, Chennai.
The winner of the tournament was the team from Lawrence School, Ooty. Runner up was SBOA School and Junior College, Chennai, 3rd place as awarded to Lalaji Memorial Omega School, Chennai and the 4th place was won by P. S. Senior Secondary School, Mylapore.
Former Indian footballer, Kulothungan, gave away the prizes to the winners at the valedictory function held on Oct 10.
