Probus Club of Chennai in association with Russian Centre for Science and Culture, will be celebrating ‘The International day of the Elderly’ on Oct 1 at Russian Cultural Centre, Alwarpet. Dr. S. Sundaram – retd. chemistry professor, Vivekananda College is the chief guest. Mikhail Gorbatov, director of Russian Centre for Science and Culture will deliver the special address.
Awards will be presented to several groups and individuals at this event. Prof. V. Chandrasekhar, president of Besant Nagar and Jain Medical Relief Society, a philantrophic institution will be conferred with ‘Probus Award of Excellence’.
Probus club members Dr. Ponnuswamy and R. Seshadri will get ‘The Probus Recognition Award’. Probians aged more than 75 years and those who have completed more than 50 years of married life will get mementoes.
