A special religious service to bless pets has been planned at San Thome Cathedral on
Sunday, October 4. at 11 am.
Priests will say a prayer and bless all the pets brought to the open air stage in the church campus.
This event has been organized by Blue Cross and is open to all. It will last for 20 minutes.
Fr Mathias, parish priest says that the Sunday also celebrates saint Francis who is the patron saint of pets and animals. He said Blue Cross which had hosted such an event in the past here mooted the idea and that the church joined hands.
