The Mylapore Fine Arts Club will be conducting its 13th year drama festival from Aug 8 – Aug 16. The event will be inaugurated on Aug 8 at 6 p.m. Chief guest Dr. Nalli Kuppuswamy Chetti will confer the title of ‘Nataka Kala Nipuna’ on veteran stage actor Chandru. R. Nataraj, former DGP and former chairman, TNPSC and K. S. N. Sunder, secretary, Kala Nilayam, will felicitate. This will be followed by a drama ‘Yaro Ivar Yaro’ by M. B. Murthy.
Other dramas that will be staged include ’Nool Veli’ by T. V. Radhakrishnan on Aug 10, ‘Thai Ullam’ by Srirangam Rangamani on Aug 11 and ‘Shyamalam’ by V. Sreevathson on Aug 16. At 45, Musiri Subramaniam Road, Mylapore. Ph: 24997755.
