‘Chennaiyin Gnanaratham – A Danceversation’, is a tribute to Mahakavi Subramania Bharathi. It is a combination of folk dance performance and conversation on Bharathiyar’s days in Chennai. Some of the inspiring songs of Bharathi have been choreographed using Devarattam movements. The dance will be performed by ‘The Folk Repertory’, a group of amateur artists with passion for folk arts of Southern Tamil Nadu. The narrative, delivered in a conversational style, similar to theatre, will include events and places associated with the Mahakavi’s life in Chennai. At Luz House, Mylapore.
