A Geogebra workshop organised by P.S. Senior Secondary School, Mylapore was inaugurated on Monday, July 13 by Rajeeva. L. Karandikar, director, Chennai Mathematical Institute. Maya Sundararajan, regional officer, United States India Education Foundation, was the guest of honour.
Sixty five teachers from 30 city schools participated in the workshop which aims at training teachers in the use of the software in constructing resources to aid mathematics teaching.
The workshop continues today (July 14) at the school campus and is being conducted by Mikko Rahikka, senior lecturer at Helsingin Yhteislyson – an upper secondary school in Helsinki, Finland, Dr. Zekeriya Karadag, a visiting professor at University of Windsor, Ontario and Dr. Sangeeta Gulati, head of mathematics department at Sanskrit School, New Delhi.
