‘Head Smart’ – an initiative by comedian Vivek, Sky Commercial and Iris Events to create awareness about road safety was held in the city recently. Students from several city colleges participated in this event. Comedian Vivek and actress Sonia Aggarwal were the chief guests and the judges at the event.
The event kicked off with a slogan competition on the use of helmets followed by films on the theme of road safety. Next were the mime and the group dance competitions. The students of M. G. R. Janaki College for Women, R. A. Puram lifted the overall championship trophy and also received the award for the best miming team.
Balasundaram from The Hindu won the best slogan competition and the students of Guru Nanak college were judged the best dance crew. The winners were gifted gold coins and gift vouchers from Naturals spa and Popular Hotels.
