There are plans to set up a Aavin milk parlour in Mylapore. Authorities say that the space for this facility has been located and plans will move ahead once others fall in place. The TN Milk Federation is keen to spread its business beyond just milk booths, sale counters and milk distribution kiosks and appeal to younger people.
It has opened parlours in swank malls and plans to open the public parlors in some city spaces.
As is the case in Adyar where people can sit at tables and enjoy a milk shake or an ice cream or just buttermilk under the share of trees in the park at this circle, the parlor in Mylapore will be a place to hangout though it may not have trees as a canopy.
