Sri Muthumariamman Temple at Alwarpet Street Junction will be celebrating its 95th Aadi Utsavam from July 31 – Aug 9. A special aradhanai will be held on Aug 7 at 6 p.m. On Aug 9, devotees will carry 108 palkudam from Aalaiamman Temple, Teynampet to Muthumariamman Temple at 8 a.m. In the evening, a veedi purappadu will be held for the diety around the streets of Alwarpet, Cenotaph Lane and Seethammal Colony Extn. An annadanam will follow.
