A magic show by Puyal Ganesh and ‘Yoga Shakti’ – a dance drama by dancer Lakshmi Kannan’s ‘Jathiswaralaya’ will be the highlight of Nandalala Seva Samithi Trust’s 27th anniversary celebrations on May 16. Chief guests include bharatanatyam teacher and author Dr. Kalarani Ramachandran, playwright C. V. Chandramohan and professor B. Ramoorthy Rao.
In the evening, a souvenir will be released by guru Mathioli Saraswathy. The first copy will be received by MP Tarun Vijay. Special invitees for the evening programme include Pushpanath Krishnamurthy, director, Programme and Advocacy Centre for Social Markets and endocrinologist Dr. Shriraam Mahadevan. The event will end with a play ‘Adithi’ by Dummy’s troupe.
Nandalala Seva Samithi Trust has a cultural centre at Ranga Road, Mylapore. They conduct summer and winter camps every year in which children are taught art, craft, yoga, vedic hymns and meditation.
The event will be held at SVR Kalyana Mandapam, Lloyds Road, Royapettah, 7.30 a.m onwards.
