TED (Technology, Education , Design) is set of conferences designed to promote new ideas and concepts. Speakers are chosen from all fields and all walks of life and they present their ideas. TEDx are aimed at local areas, communities, campuses and even neighborhoods and one such is to be the TEDxMylapore event slated for May 2 afternoon at Hotel Clarion, Dr R K Salai, Mylapore.
The Saturday event is organised by Ganesh Natarajan, Balaji Vijayaraghavan and Sharanya Iyer. They say they have acquired a licence to hold the TEDx event.
Among the speakers are radio jockey Ralaji, writer-historian V. Sriram, civic activist M B Nirmal of Exnora, TV host and quiz master, Dr Sumanth Raman and Mylapore Times editor-publisher Vincent D’ Souza.
The conference will present each speaker’s ideas which may be local but have a global reach and outlook. Radio and print journalist Sanobar Sultana will host this event.
