Dr. Ambedkar’s 125th birthday celebrations are going on in the area today. Various political parties and other organisations have gathered at the Ambedkar Mani Mandapam on Greenways Road to pay respects to him. People stopped by to garland his statue. Stalls were also set up to offer food and water to the people. The ‘ Puthaga kuzgu’ group had come from Vandalur to perform their Parai isai here this morning.
