About 150 old students of Venkatramana Ayurveda College, Mylapore got together for a meet and greet session on Apr 26 at Hotel Savera, Mylapore. The chief guest was Dr. Vanitha Muralikumar, president, Central Council of Indian Medicine.
The highlight of the meet was the revival of the college which was shut down in 2008 due to strict norms by CCIM (Central Council of Indian Medicine) and poor infrastructure. The members were assured by a trustee – Raghunandan that steps would be taken to revive the college.
After the meeting, senior doctors who worked in the college were felicitated. The event ended with cultural programmes by the alumni members. To become a member of the association contact Dr. R. Sivakumar at 9094213242 and Dr. Veeracholan at 9444443344.
