Kumara Rani’s Chettinad Vidyalaya celebrated their 29th annual day on Jan 29 at the school auditorium. After the welcome address by the correspondent and secretary Dr. Meena Muthiah, the event was inaugurated by the chief guest Dr. V. R. Devika, managing trustee of The Aseema Trust.
Children participated in several unique programmes – ‘The Korean Fantasy’ number transported the audience straight to Korea, the space jam dance was tribute to the Mars Orbiter Mission (Mangalyan) and the Krishna Leela portrayed the naughty and playful Krishna dancing with the gopikas.
There were also three interludes – one was about royal philanthropists, the second was about the accomplishments of great men and their mothers and the third depicted the dream of the national poet Bharathiyar. The event ended with a dance on Goddess Lakshmi and her manifestation by the KG students.
