Fancy fete held at R. A. Puram church

Our Lady of Guidance Church at R. A. Puram conducted a fancy fete on Oct 11 and 12. Organised by guidance friends – a youth group of the church, this event saw more than 5000 people enjoying themselves at the stalls set up at the church premises. About 40 food and game stalls were put up. Huge crowds assembled outside the  vegetarian and non-vegetarian food stalls waiting to savour everything from seafood and chicken delights to  Chinese delicacies and vegetable biryani. Snack lovers were not disappointed either – they got to choose from tasty crunchies like bhelpuri, pani puri,  bajji, bonda and samosa.

The games stalls were equally exciting. Games like lucky dip, balloon shooting, ring throwing, housie and a jumping castle were organised to keep the adults and children entertained. A first time special event – Horror House had an unusually good response. The church hopes to build a grotto with the funds collected.
