Swara Mozhiyil Pazhamozhi – a carnatic choral concert conceived and composed by R. Rajarajeswari was held on Oct 18 at P. S. School, Mylapore. Rajarajeswari, a long time resident of Mandaveli, runs a school Kamala Gana Nilayam. She has been teaching for 35 years. About 50 children aged 5 – 16 years and about 25 bank employees accompanied by violin, mridangam, flute and keyboard players performed at the event. About 27 pazhmozhis (proverbs) were sung in about 20 ragas. The event was presided over by Dr. S. Sundar in the presence of Mylapore Trio – S. Amarnath, S. Surendranath and S. Aperna.
