Some of the sales and exhibitions in Mylapore this week –
- From September 2 to 4, Thughil and Valanadu will present an exhibition and sale of hand-woven, natural dyed, ikat, kalamkari, block printed sarees, and dress materials from Andhra and Orissa.
Also available will be Kalamkari paintings and patches, ecofriendly bags and accessories from Puducherry, embroidered kurtis from Bhuj, Gujarat, and traditional rice varieties and organic products made by SHG’s from rural Tamilnadu. - On now till September 5, the Amethyst Room at R. A. Puram will host a summer resort collection of designer wear inspired by nature. At Chamiers Anokhi, 106/79, Chamiers Road, R. A. Puram.

- From September 2 to 4, Maya’s Arc will host a sale of designer fashion jewellery in semi-precious gemstones, gold-plated metal, Kundan, Jadau, and sterling silver, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. At C. P. Arts Centre, 1, Eldams Road, Alwarpet. Ph: 9884025989.
