A one – day teachers workshop was held by Gandhi Peace Foundation in memory of its founder T. D. Tirumalai on Aug 11 at Alwarpet. Teachers from 19 schools participated in this event. The chief guest, S. Manivel, Reader, State Council of Education, Research and Training (SCERT) inaugurated the workshop.
The key – note address was given by Minoo Aggarwal, the principal of DAV Public School, Velachery. She talked about the need to incorporate Gandhian values to achieve peace and harmony in the society. The teachers then unanimously agreed to introduce lesson modules that will help in resolving conflicts and encourage gentle behaviour. For details contact 9962479005.
