On August 9 at Alwarpet, well-known theatre group Evam will host the ‘Evam Standup Tamasha’ as part of the ‘Namma Chennai Chance-ey Illa’ campaign organised by the Times of India group. Mylapore resident Aswin Rao will talk about his own locality as a Brahmin from Mylapore and the funny things that happen to the community, all in a lighter vein. The popular face of Evam, Karthik Kumar and his group will present the acts, which will highlight quirks of the city and typical characteristics of Chennaivasis.
Complimentary invites are available at the Times of India office on Chamiers Road on a first-come-first-serve basis from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
