To mark its 10th anniversary, Bamboola Playschool and Daycare and After school in R> A. Puram held a unique programme on July 4 morning. Its staff and students planted over 150 saplings in its campus.
Promoter Sujata Vijay says Bamboola was started in a 2000 sqft space, with 4 children, 2 teachers and 2 akkas and today has over 15000 sqft space, 40 teachers, 40 akkas and 300 children and growing every year.
While some children brought their saplings others were given them and with the help of gardeners, these were planted at different places.
Says Sujata, ” We want to give back something to society so what better return gift than fresh air for all and a green environment.”
