A Thottha utsavam is being organised at Adi Kesava Perumal Temple, Mylapore on June 29 and July 13. On both days, Perumal, Nachiyar and Chakratalvar will be taken out on a procession to different areas in the city. The dieties will visit the houses of devotees en route. At each house, the dieties will stop for about 10 minutes, an archana will be performed and prasadam will be distributed.
On June 29, the procession will start at around 2 a.m. from Mylapore and will cover T.Nagar, West Mambalam, Ashok Pillar, West Saidapet and several other areas before it comes back to the temple at around 12 a.m. the next day. A distance of about 90 kms will be covered.
On July 13, the procession will start from the temple at around 6.30 a.m. and will cover Alwarpet, RA Puram, Mandavelli, Abhiramapuram, Poes Garden, CIT Colony and Luz Church Road before it comes back to the temple at around 8 p.m. For more details contact the temple at 24643873, 9600106259, 9444035591.
