Two students of neighbourhood schools have covered themselves with glory in the State Board Std.X exams, results of which were made public on Friday morning.
They are Shubushruti of Rosary Matric and Gokulnath of San Thome schools. While the former has stood third in the state the latter stood second in the state.
Gokulnath’s record needs special mention because despite facing tough times he remained focussed on his studies and has set his sights on joining the Navy. His dad is a a autorickshaw driver and has had to slog it hard to fund the studies of his son and a daughter who has completed Plus two.
Meanwhile, Karthik Sriram of Chettinad Harishree Vidyalayam school in R A. Puram topped in the state in the ICSE ( Indian Certificate for Secondary Edn.) Std.X exam. He scored high in all the subjects.
