The well known Daskshin restaurant at Park Sheraton Towers Hotel in Alwarpet is 25 and it is showcasing some of the choicest foods from south India for what it is known for.
Celebrated chef Praveen has curated food festivals on a variety of regional cuisines for the month of April.
So from April 3 to 5 Dakshin will offer food from South Kanara in Karnataka, from April 6 to 8 it will be the food from the Koduva tradition – like pork, fish and chicken of the Coorg heartland while vegetarians can choose from dishes of jackfruit, bamboo shoots and bananas.
The Mudaliar food is on offer from April 15 to 17, the Thanjavur spread from April 18 to 20 and the Moplah of the north Kerala region food from April 21 to 23. There are also the cuisines of Franco-Pondy and of the Vijayanagara times on other days in April.
