San Thome’s bowlers have had a tough day on the first day of the final of the TNCA cricket tourney for under 16 today, Thursday. Its opponent Don Bosco scored freely from the start at the CPT playground in Taramani.
At close of play on day one ( this is a two-day game), the Egmore school team had made a big total of 325 runs for the loss of 9 wkts in alloted 90 overs.
The star of the day was the talented batsman Darryl S. Ferrario of Mylapore. He scored 136 runs and his was a fluent innings that may well have won the game for Don Bosco.
The San Thome batsmen have a job cut out for themselves now on Day Two.
