A variety of events were held in the Mylapore neighborhood to celebrate the 66th birthday of chief minister J Jayalalithaa but a unique one was the 66 hours of non stop concerts held in R A Puram.
Local party units held public meetings and distributed gifts to the poor. Late Monday evening, a huge public meeting was held in the Mangollai area of Mylapore’s East Mada Street junction.
At the TN Govt. Music College, Carnatic music artistes launched a marathon concert series on Monday morning starting with a nadaswaram recital.
On Tuesday, T M Krishna was scheduled to perform at 10 a.m.
