The Navarathri celebrations at Ramakrishna Mission Students’ Home in Mylapore have always carried a tradition of its own. Simple religious rites, procession in the neighbourhood taken out by the ‘boys here, a large kolu in the hall and kutcheri evenings which feature the best music artistes.
And so it will be this season, with a quiet puja launch on Oct.5 morning Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj of the Ramakrishna Math, Mylapore.
A grand kolu will be set up by the residents of the Home located on P S Sivaswamy Road, adjoining Vivekananda College and the concerts will be held here every evening, 6.30 pm onwards.

Dushyanth ( Oct.12), Kathadi Ramamurthy’s play ( Oct.13) and vocalist Sankari Krisnan ( Oct.14).

There is a maha abhishekm to Devi Saraswathi on Oct.13 at 10 am and every morning and evening, the Home residents will take out a procession with the decorated deity around the streets of CIT Colony.
