A major exhibition and sale of Indian’s handlooms and silks is to be held at the Chennai Corporation community hall on C P Ramaswamy Road, Alwarpet.
Themed Weaves and managed by a Hyderabad-based company, this event will showcase the gorgeous Uppadas, Benaras silks, Gadwals, Dharmavaram, Jamdanis, Jamawars and Sambalpuris.
Sarees, dress material and home décor and designer clothes from different region of the country wil be on sale.
Artisans from 14 handloom-weaving states including Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Bihar, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir and West Bengal and many designers from metros working in collaboration with the weavers are displaying their works here.
You can also shop for stoles and dupattas at this show.
The promoters say that there is a big range of clothes meant for the young.
This exhibition is organised by M/s Revathi Creative Communications Pvt. Ltd with an objective to promote the handloom weavers of India,
