T. V. Ramanujam, aged 83, resident of Sriram Colony, Alwarpet, passed away on May 8. He has been a resident of Mylapore for more than 40 years.
Ramanujam was born in a joint family of 7 brothers and 4 sisters at Kalakkattoor village in Kanchipuram district.
“He held the whole family together like a banyan, through the magic of his love and affection. Being the eldest person in the family currently, he was revered and loved by all in the family”, says a family member.
Ramanujam worked for King & Partridge Advocates and Notary, Chennai for more than 40 years.
After retirement he was associated with leading advocates in Mylapore, and offered paralegal consultancy services related to legal documentation.
One advocate wellwisher says: “Because of his experience and expertise, we used to consult him for quick answers about the legal system, instead of perusing books. His demise is a great loss for us.”
His elder son T. R. Vijayaraghavan, journalist at Dinamalar, younger son T.R. Ramesh; and daughter Anuradha Madhavan.
