WORKSHOPS

TiE Chennai is conducting a ‘Workshop on Entrepreneurship’ for students of class 9 to 12.  The workshop will concentrate on structured curriculum geared to educate and groom school students as entrepreneurs.

The Society of Auditors is organising a Professional Accountants Course for graduates, budding accountants and those interested in learning the various aspects of accounting. Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram, Mandaveli is starting a yoga teacher training programme (P.G. Diploma in Yoga). Gallery Sri Parvati and L&T Construction are having an exhibition of L& T’s Panchangam calendar at Gallery Sri Parvati till April 15. Open to public between 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The gallery is located at 28/160, Eldams Road, Alwarpet.

R’s Boutique is having an exhibition cum sale at Exquisite Shoppe, Mookambika Complex, C. P. Ramaswamy Road till April 16. On display is jewellery like ceramic beads, wooden beads, semi precious beads, black metal, German silver and gold plated and antique jewellery.

FOOD FEST

 MEDICAL CAMP

A free medical camp will be held at Our Lady of Guidance Church, R. A. Puram premises on April 15.  Diabetologist Dr. Pravin K. Aggarwal and gynecologist Dr. Pratibha Aggarwal will provide free treatment for problems related to diabetes, B.P. and gynecology. On from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. This is organised by the Vincent De Paul Society Unit of this parish.

 RELIGIOUS

On April 18, 62nd Aradhana of Bhagavan will be held at Ramana Kendra. There will be special abhishekam, Deeparadhana, thiru veedhi ula and poojas from 7 a.m. onwards. The 66th Foundation Day of Sri Sankara Gurukulam, Abhiramapuram will be held on April 18. The 93rd year of celebration of Sankara Jayanthi festival will be held from April 22 to 26. Special abhishekams, poojas, aradhana, veda parayanam and recitals of Sri adi sankara’s works will be held daily. On April 26 the image of Lord Sankara will be taken in a procession. Sri Asthabandana Maha Kumbhabhishekam vizha will be held at Arulmiga Sivasakthi Salaiamman Temple in Salai Street, Mylapore on April 15 from 8 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. There will be a procession at 7.30 p.m. on the same day.
