Two college students were killed in a bike accident in Dr. R. K. Salai on Tuesday morning. This incident took place near the flyover in front of The Music Academy.
The motorcycle used by the students hit the median, spun the bike into the air and collided with another two-wheeler in the next lane.
The rider Damodaran (22) and Jagadeeshan (22), who was seated behind him suffered severe head injuries and died on the spot.
The other motorcyclist, Ranjith Kumar (30) suffered a broken leg.
Police sources say the reason for their deaths was that the biker was oevrspeeding. Also, the two were not wearing their helmets.
Damodaran was a resident of Robertson Lane, Mandaveli. He was a third year B.A. History student of Loyola College. Jagadeeshan was a first year MCA student of Anna University and was a resident of Neelankarai.
