V. Srinivasan, retired district judge and advocate, Madras High Court passed away on August 4. He was 89.
He was the eldest son of late S. Vijayaraghavacharian, the renowned advocate and doyen of the Salem Bar.
While in judicial service he had served as Chairman, Land Board and Chairman, State Transport Appellate Tribunal, Tamil Nadu.
He had also served as Master High Court, Madras for a brief period. After his retirement, he practised at Madras High Court and guided his son S. Kalyanaraman who is now a practising advocate in Chennai.
He is survived by his wife V. Mythili and three sons, V. S. Sundararajan, S. Parthasarathy and S. Kalyanaraman.
